How does Multilingual Chauffeurs work? Our chauffeur drives his personal car to your home or office, parks his car, and then drives you in your car. If you are located in any of the five boroughs, the chauffeur may use public transportation to get to your location.

Are there any hidden charges? No. We will inform you of all charges prior to your acceptance of the journey. However, if you require any additional needs or financial outlays by the chauffeur, i.e., tolls, gas (clients’ personal vehicle) or anything of that nature then those outlays would require a fifteen (15) percent service fee.

When does billable time start? Billable time starts after our driver arrives at the address you designated for pick up and completes a 10-minute inspection of your vehicle. Our drivers will arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your requested pick up time to complete this required inspection, and you will not be billed for those minutes. However, travel time may be added for clients who need to be picked up or have final drop offs beyond the New York City line, call for details.

Do you have Insurance? Our drivers are fully insured to carry passengers. Multi Lingual Chauffeurs are licensed, certified and insured.

How do I get billed? You will receive an invoice by mail, fax or email, you decide. We will need a signed authorization for credit card charges. We currently accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express and PayPal. Please check our reservations page for details.

What happens to my car while I’m at my meeting, appointment, dinner, etc.? Your chauffeur remains with your car for the entire service period, unless you request him to park the vehicle to assist you with other matters.

If my meeting or engagement finishes earlier or later than expected, how do I contact my driver? You may contact your driver to inform him or her of changes via his or her cellular phone via voice, s.m.s text message or instant message.

How do I pay for service? A deposit will be made with your credit card prior to the pickup date. The credit card provided will secure your reservation and the deposit will be debited from the balance at the end of service. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, as well as PayPal and checks, are all accepted. Checks must be received prior to service and cleared by our financial institution before pick up. Some or all of these conditions may be relaxed when we are satisfied with the credentials of the customer for subsequent bookings.

Does MULTILINGUAL CHAUFFEURS offer discounts? Yes, for select not-for profit organizations, charitable organizations and fundraisers. We sometimes donate services or discount our prices. These decisions are made case by case.

What is the standard attire for the chauffeurs? Upon requests for formal attire, a black suit, white shirt, black tie and black shoes are worn, and a black polo sport shirt black pants and black shoes are worn upon requests for casual attire.

Can I reserve the same driver whenever I use MULTILINGUAL CHAUFFEURS? You may request the same driver every time. We will make every effort to ensure your request is accommodated when possible.

Can I reserve a car and a driver with MULTILINGUAL CHAUFFEURS? Multilingual Chauffeurs has affiliates that maintain sedans, SUVs, luxury and exotic vehicles. Please visit our vehicles & rates page. However, if you decide to rent a vehicle, Multi Lingual Chauffeurs can pick your vehicle up, if requested. An hour and one half hour will be added to your bill for pickup of a rented vehicle and one hour and one half hour will be added to your bill to return a rental vehicle to the rental location (within the five boroughs of New York City).

Why does my chauffeur have to perform an inspection of my vehicle? The inspection is performed for your safety and protection as well as the chauffeurs’ safety. It is to assess whether the vehicle is road worthy. It’s also important that the driver is familiar with the vehicles operation.

What items are checked? Insurance, registration, inspection, seatbelts, lights, turn signals, horn, tires, brakes, fluids and anything of concern to the chauffeur.

What do I need to make a reservation?
Client contact information and address
Vehicle(s) information (year, make, model, etc.)
Proof of current insurance coverage for stated vehicle (faxed in with reservation).
Itinerary including dates, times, event locations, etc.
Credit Card to guarantee your reservation.

Should I tip my chauffeur? Multi Lingual Chauffeurs does not add a gratuity to our service fees. Tipping is appreciated and welcomed and is completely voluntary and the amount should be based on the clients’ satisfaction with the Chauffeur and Multi Lingual Chauffeurs service. Tipping can be done personally or added to the invoice.

What if I need to cancel my reservation? A cancellation without financial penalty is allowed up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled pickup date and time. Cancellations within the 12 hours prior to the scheduled date and time are subject to a cancellation charge of twenty five (25) dollars. Cancellations within 6 hours prior to the scheduled pickup will be charged a minimum of $90 dollars. [ BACK TO TOP ]
What about last minute changes to my reservation? Additional charges may be necessary however it is done on a case by case basis.

How far in advance can I make a reservation? All reservations should be made between 24 and 48 hours in advance but can be made up to 1 month in advance.

Can I make a same day reservation? Yes, but you must call our office to do so, and we will make every effort to meet your needs.

Can I hire a driver on a full time or semi full time basis? Yes, we can tailor a chauffeur package to meet your needs.

Will my driver run errands or fulfill special request of me (example: pickup flowers, dry cleaning, make reservations, pickup clients)? Yes, of course, as long as it is within the boundaries of the law, it is part of our service.

Why would I hire your driver/chauffeur to drive me in my car over a hiring a limousine? In addition to offering our clients a higher level of service with qualified chauffeurs, we offer our clients a “niche fit” when there is not the need or desire for a limousine. Our service is obviously much less expensive and offers you the comfort and anonymity of your own vehicle without the ostentation of a limousine.

Can I choose to drive a different vehicle other than the one specified at the time of reservation? In most cases if the change is made prior to the “drivers” arrival and the driver is able to operate the type of vehicle you would like used for the day. In addition you have the ability to register multiple vehicles with us at the time of reservation, which a number of our clients have chosen to do.

Are your chauffeurs employees or contracted? Both, Multi Lingual Chauffeurs is a service provided by Finest Chauffeurs. Finest Chauffeurs is registered as a Chauffeur service in New York State, and is not a security company. We provide drivers only and if you need executive protection or a bodyguard we can arrange it through our affiliates who are licensed security companies. All escort services requiring security are through our affiliates who maintain licensed security companies. All escorts done by Multi Lingual Chauffeurs are as assistants to the clients’ i.e.: escorting elderly clients while shopping, escorting children to school, escorting clients with packages.
